Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Stumbled upon this place. Very packed but luckily they had a basement which turned out to be cooler than the ground floor which was where the big charcoal grill was. Had tomato salad, grilled octopus + 9 prawns, steamed mussels, plus 2 cokes. Total was around 5X Euros which wasnt bad. Good seafood. Just think we ordered 1 dish too many for just two people. Still we managed to clear most of it as told by the picture."
"Crazy good food! This will be "one" of those dinners i will not forget!! I would recommend trying everything! You can't go wrong! The interior also gives amazing Seaside vibes and its very cozy. Im so glad our friends brought us here so we would not miss this Pearl of dining in Madrid!"
"Very good classic dishes from Andalusia, which includes much seafood and paellas! A nice inside dining area and a terrace across the street. Vermut from the tap and paella prepared to order. I would have given it 5* everywhere else, however, Madrid is highly competitive when it comes to great dining!"
"We just dropped into town and didn't know where to go for dinner. We're super pleased with this choice. We only ordered the half glasses of Sangria but were served what I think were fulls. Delicious. I ordered the Pulpo (Octopus), and my partner got the Dorada (Bream Fish?). We were also served (without requesting it) an appetizer of some breaded fish bites that were also delicious. The service was excellent. Great first stop on our trip to Madrid!"
"I was not so sure about the place after reading the reviews. However I am glad we came! Although it looks a bit run down, the food was delicious! And the service was excellent! We ordered Grilled Sardines and Sea Bass. It was delicious . I will recommend and will be coming back."
"I went some years ago. It was the best food we had in Madrid. Delicious food, drinks, and the service was really nice."
"We came here on Sunday, rastro day. Obviously the place was packed with people, but it did not affect the quality of the food or the service. Both of them really good! The tapas are mainly southern ones and also the way they cook some of them! Also prices are quite ok. Add this place to the rastro sunday list!"
"This place has amazing food! I don't think you can go wrong with anything, we had the Gambones al ajillo (shrimps with garlic), Bastoncillos de berenjena con miel de caña (fried Aborigines with honey glazing) * chefs kiss for this * and the boquerones (fried anchovies?), all very good! The portions are very generous so make sure to get the smaller sizes if you're in 2"
